The hotel also has a roof-top swimming pool, so you can start your trip with a dip. Suitably refreshed, you can really begin your Thailand holiday as you explore your fascinating neighbourhood. Those crave for an instant culture access can head straight to the Royal Palace. This is the number one place of interest for most Bangkok visitors. The palace can be reached in only 10 mins by taxi or tuk-tuk and the doors are open until 3:30pm. Remember to dress modestly - your knees and shoulders must be covered. Breakfast, Lunch
-

Breakfast, lunch, tuk tuk, boat fee, guide, ground transportation, hotel in Bangkok
It's day two of your Thailand holiday and this morning you'll be met by your guide in the lobby of your hotel, and together you'll embark on an exciting drive through Bangkok by tuk-tuk. You'll travel to Thewet river pier where you'll first visit the local 'fresh market' and then board a classic longtail boat!
Your boat journey will give you an insight into how much the city life still revolves around the river and its network of 'klongs' (canals). In some ways it is a trip through the past where you'll see wooden houses on stilts, local folks doing their laundry in the klongs, monitor lizards suddenly swimming by, and lots of other fascinating sights. Back at the pier again your guide will return you to your hotel by tuktuk! You should be back before noon, and the rest of your day is free to explore the city.

You'll be picked up early this morning for the next stage of your Thailand trip; travelling by air-conditioned minibus to the River Kwai accompanied by an english-speaking guide. First stop will be the Samut Sakhon 'train market' where you'll get to try your haggling skills. Afterwards you'll head to the famous Bridge over the River Kwai, where you'll take a train ride along a stretch of the infamous Burma Death Railway.
On arrival at the small station, a tasty lunch will be served and you'll step into a longtail boat. This boat will drift along the River Kwai, deep into the thick evergreen jungle. Just 40 minutes later, you'll arrive at your floating bamboo bungalow on the river. You'll have your own room with a swimming jetty and a hammock. There's no electricity, and you'll eat an ambient dinner by the light of flickering oil lamps. Seated at long tables, you'll share the meal with your fellow travellers with a background chorus of jungle sounds. If you choose to travel In Style, you'll spend the next 2 nights in a comfortable tented camp with ensuite.

The waterfall has seven different levels, dropping a total height of 1500m. You can reach the top in about 1½ hours depending on your walking speed, but you'll be duly rewarded for your efforts. Sparkling water cascades down into bright turquoise pools against a backdrop of smooth limestone rocks. You'll have three hours here, so don't forget your swimsuit.
At the end of the visit the guide will drop you off at your friendly hotel with pool in Kanchanburi. From here it's only a short walk to the JEATH War Museum and the Memorial Cemetery.

We'll have arranged a flight to the island of Phuket. Because Phuket is the most convenient departure point for most of the tropical islands of southern Thailand, you'll stop here for the night on the way to the next island destination on your Thailand holiday.

-
Meal:
Breakfast, Lunch

Breakfast, lunch, guide, gliding, accommodation in a local mid-class resort/ a teak bungalow (In Style option) in Ko Phi Phi
(Travel time approx: 2-3 hours) After your boat trip from Phuket, you'll glide past Phang-Nga Bay's majestic limestone cliffs to the tropical isle of Ko Phi Phi. The Phi Phi islands - more developed Ko Phi Phi Don and the more authentic Ko Phi Phi Leh - have become a travel hotspot thanks to their idyllic white sandy beaches, incredibly clear waters and stunning limestone cliff backdrop. You can easily spend several days enjoying Ko Phi Phi Don's island atmosphere. During your time on Ko Phi Phi you'll stay at a centrally located mid-class resort; it's less than a 5 minute stroll away from the soft white sandy shore. If you choose to travel In Style you'll stay in a teak bungalow set up a hillside overlooking the Andaman Sea.
How you spend day six of your Thailand holiday is up to you. There aren't any cars or roads, so the best way to get around is either by boat or on foot. You could take a hike up to a lookout point and enjoy the view of the rest of the island and the Andaman Sea. Later on you can hit the beach, lounge on the sand and sip on a fresh fruit smoothie. In the evening try browsing and haggling at the island's small shops, and eat a fantastic fish BBQ for dinner.

Activities:
Head to Ko Hai island, stay in a traditional Thai-style bungalow, relax at the beach
-
Meal:
Breakfast, Lunch
-
Included:
Breakfast, lunch, guide, boat fee, accommodation in a Thai-style bungalow in Ko Hai
(Travel time approx: 2 hours) After breakfast around 8.30am it’s time to board the boat for the two-hour trip to the next island on your tropical Thailand holiday. You’ll be heading further south to Ko Hai, a tiny island in the Trang archipelago, far from the tourist crowds and with a very serene, peaceful atmosphere.
You’ll stay in a traditional Thai-style bungalow set back from the beach with jungle behind you. Your bungalow has a private patio where you can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet as you look out across the beach and the blue bay. We selected this accommodation for its fantastic location on a beautiful stretch of sandy beach and, the fact that the bay is right on your doorstep means it is one of the few spots on the island where you can snorkel amongst coral and tropical fish. If you travel In Style your bungalow will be situated right on the beach.
The twelfth day in your Thailand holiday is free for you to decide what you’d like to do. You could rent a snorkel at the restaurant and wade into the warm water to swim among the little clownfishes, anemones and rainbow-coloured coral. The islands of the Trang Archipelago are still largely undiscovered by mass-tourism which means you'll have the place almost to yourself which really adds to the peaceful atmosphere.
Soft white sands, azure sea, sunshine make this the perfect tropical getaway. Even though the region is virtually closed from May - October due to monsoon season, this Thailand islands holiday is too good to miss out so we hope you'll be able to plan your trip somewhere between November and May. Pack your flip-flops, sun-hat, sarong and a good novel and you're all set.
